Wishing you all the best in the coming year! The light man above is an actual person, walking in the dark with flow lights at a light show at the nearby Emperors Palace in Ekhurhuleni. In some ways he is a reflection of the year ahead. For most of us the outlines of the year are already in place - however, our response to the various factors and forces at play will determine how the final tapestry will look. For now there is uncertainty and many possibilities. We trust and hope that together we can actually address the outstanding issues of peace and justice in our communities and reflect the hope that Christmas represents in a transformed society. By year end we will have painted a picture that will look quite different than the one above.
May God grant you courage, strength and joy to that end.
