During the latter part of October MCC Representatives from across Africa together with representation from US and Canadian offices gathered in Lusaka, Zambia. It was the first such meeting in five years and represented 14 country offices and five administrative units. Discussion themes focused on the new organizational model; effective humanitarian and relief assistance; partnering and programmatic collaboration with the church and strategic directions for the organization on the continent. Afternoons and evening provided multiple fora for focus groups and networking. Many acquaintances were renewed and new friends made. MCC has incredibly gifted leadership serving a multitude of needs and relationships on the continent. It was encouraging and inspiring to be part of such a gathering. Following are some images of our time together:
As I was saying... |

The swim that never was! |
