Transition

Saskatoon will remain our home until the end of August this year. In September we will head to Johannesburg, South Africa. In the interim there is a lot to do. Bruno is currently engaged in working with his transition team, the MCCS Management Council, to prepare for his termination and the transition to a new leader after 12 years as Executive Director. It will be difficult to leave a dynamic setting, a committed and creative staff, and the many many relationships and connections built over a long period of time.

We are preparing to sell our house, determine what to keep and what to give away, locating storage facilities and deciding on whether to invest our house sale profits or purchase a rental unit to which we can return after our term of service. Housing sales have skyrocketed in Saskatoon the last two years and it will be difficult to buy back into the market in five years at this rate of expansion.
